About us
A little more about us
Chrisridogs is situated on a farm in the beautiful Karoo at the foot of Kompasberg, with our closest town being Neu Bethesda. Our family consists of Christoff, myself Chrisna, and our two boys, Burger and Christoff Junior Vermeulen, along with all our fur children. Our dogs are a part of our family; they live with us in our home and share our lives completely. Our puppies are raised with love and care in our home. When the time comes for them to meet their new forever families, we personally deliver them in Cape Town and JHB and make safe arrangements for the little ones destined for other parts of South Africa.
In 2010, I bid farewell to Cape Town, and Christoff and I began our lives together on Eindelik in the beautiful Karoo. Christoff is a sheep farmer who has been working and trialling his Border Collies since 2003 and training Anatolian Shepherds as Livestock Guardian Dogs since 2005. He also imported Border Collies from the UK to ensure that he works and breeds from the best possible working lines. Later, he decided to substitute the Anatolians for Central Asian Shepherds as they have a higher success rate as Livestock Guardian Dogs. More dogs and imports followed in the years that came, and you can read all about them on our website.
Our family also consists of many other exciting farm animals and breeding programs. We are a registered Suffolk sheep stud called Chriscross Suffolks and also a registered Shire horse stud called Compass Shires. Christoff is also a dynamic cattle farmer and is busy developing a breed of cattle suitable for our harsh, very cold, and dry climate, called the Sneeuberger. We are incredibly passionate about animals and the breeding of quality animals. All our animals receive quality care and treatment and are bred with the utmost care.
